The Swedish golfer, currently ranked No. 6 in the OWGR, turned professional in 2023 and has already claimed two career titles. While he is yet to win a major, he finished solo 7th at the Masters this year. However, he missed the cut at the PGA Championship.

The U.S. Open will be Ludvig Åberg’s 14th start of the season. He has three top-10s so far and has made the cut in 10 events.

He began with a T5 at The Sentry, followed by a T42 at the Farmers Insurance Open. He withdrew from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am before Round 2 due to illness. He returned at the Genesis Invitational and went on to win the event.

After that, he finished T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, missed the cut at both The Players and Valero Texas Open, and placed solo 7th at the Masters. He was T54 at the RBC Heritage, T60 at the Truist Championship, and missed the cut at the PGA Championship. Most recently, Ludvig Åberg recorded a T16 finish at the Memorial and a T13 rank at the RBC Canadian Open.
