“That was my first choice [re-signing]. There were some other teams I talked to, but it’s really just [Levanga],” said a joyful Ramos during the B.League Final Week Manila event on Saturday at Gateway Mall.

“I’m always on the same page with them. That’s why I felt like I’m going to stay with Hokkaido again and hopefully, this year we can do some big things.”

Ramos had his best B.League season yet in his third year with Levanga after averaging a career-best 11.5 points per game on 40 percent from the field, 35 percent from 3 and 82 percent from the free throw line. He also played 53 games–his most in four seasons in Japan.

Ramos sees a promising campaign for Hokkaido next season with a new coach in tow.

“I’m really excited for the next season. We have a new and foreign coach,” he said.

“When I talked with the team, they said that they felt like I still didn’t show all that I can do, and I agreed.”
