MANILA, Philippines — Cignal continues to rebuild its roster, signing veteran spiker Heather Guino-o and champion middle blocker Ethan Arce ahead of the next PVL conference.
The HD Spikers on Monday welcomed two former players of coach Shaq Delos Santos in the collegiate ranks.

Delos Santos and former Far Eastern University spiker Heather Guino-o are reunited for the first time since UAAP Season 79 in 2017.
Guino-o is taking her act from Capital1 as she also teams up, once again, with her former setter Gel Cayuna and libero Buding Duremdes.
“Team Awesome is thrilled to welcome Heather Guino-o, a reliable scorer and steady presence on the wing, as she’s ready to make a significant impact with the Cignal HD Spikers in the next conference,” the team said.
The 27-year-old outside spiker is playing for her eighth PVL club after stints with Pocari in 2017, Tacloban (2018), Creamline (2019), Perlas Spikers (2021), PLDT (2022), Petro Gazz (2023), and Capital1 since last year.
Guino-o will help Delos Santos in revamping the wing spiker rotation after Ces Molina’s sudden exit with middle blocker Ria Meneses in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.
She will add the much-needed firepower after Tin Tiamzon came out of retirement to team up with HD Spikers Vanie Gandler, Ishie Lalongisip, and Judith Abil.

Arce is joining her former University of the Philippines coach, Delos Santos, who had a one-year stint with the Fighting Maroons in Season 85.
Petro Gazz let go of Arce with another middle blocker in KC Galdones after winning the All-Filipino championship and playing in the AVC Champions League.
Arce joins Rose Doria-Aquino and Jackie Acuña to bolster Cignal’s frontline.
“Ethan Arce brings her strength, grit, and passion to the Cignal HD Spikers as we set our sights even higher next conference,” Cignal wrote.
The HD Spikers are expected to continue their rebuild picking sixth overall in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft on June 8.
Cignal seeks to redeem itself after missing the All-Filipino quarterfinals as the No.3 team fell to Galeries in the qualifying round and lost to ZUS Coffee in the play-in.
