MANILA, Philippines—FilAm-Nation Select USA’s bid for back-to-back NBTC Division 1 title remained intact following the National Finals’ Fearless 4 action at Mall of Asia Arena on Friday.
The Select USA squad defeated the National University-Nazareth Bullpups, 85-73, to move an inch closer to their second straight Division 1 crown.
Angelino Mark powered FilAm-Nation to the dub with 26 points while Caelum Harris continued to dominate with a monster double-double of 19 points and 10 assists.

Miguel Palanca paced the Bullpups with 21 points and 11 rebounds but to no avail as NUNS bowed out of title contention.
The FilAm-Nation squad will be facing the Kieffer Alas-led Phenom Blue Fire-Pasay in the finalè of the NBTC’s Division 1.
The Pasay collective punched their tickets to the league’s last dance with a dub over the University of Santo Tomas, 89-72.
Alas finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal to pace Phenom Blue Fire to the victory. Bonn Daja also finished with a double-double of 21 points and 13 points in the win.
Canada shoots for second straight crown
Meanwhile, as Top Flight-Canada punched a ticket back to the pool’s Finals to for a shot at back-to-back championship in Division 2.
Top Flight booked a return to the Finals after defeating DPR Aviation College, 90-88.

Chad Gammad bolstered Top Flight’s bid with 31 points, six rebounds and two steals. Kaden Carrion and Ryan Garcia also helped the cause with 18 and 12 points, respectively.
Francely Baldomino turned in a 17-point outing but to no avail as DPR received the boot out of the tourney.
Top Flight will face SJCDC Thaddeans S.-Cavite, which defeated EZ Jersey Doc Boleros, 69-58, in the title round.
The duo of John Arvin Ruba and Stanley Troy Gicoso poured 18 and 16 points, respectively, to push Cavite to the Division 2 Finals.
Both divisions’ Finals meeting will take place on Sunday at the same venue.
